Open Championship of Dnipropetrovsk. Water-ski season closing

In September, 19 – 20, in the defined area of the Dnieper at the water-ski stadium of WSC club “Sentosa” Dnipropetrovsk Ukraine Open was held. Sportsmen from Ukraine, Belorussia, Slovakia took part in the competition.
Nature accompanied the holding of the competition to its fullest – bright sun and warm weather allowed young sportsmen in the age under 12 and under 14 to perform at the open water.
Alumni of the WSC “Sentosa” showed very high results. Fil’chenko Danil won first place in figure skating among juniors under 12. In the same discipline Karpenko Nastia and Pirozhenko Ania took silver medals among female juniors under 12 and under 14. In slalom the first place was taken by Danil Rubliovskii in his age category.
This championship gives us an opportunity to prepare our sportsmen for the next international competitions where they will go literally in a week, - reported President of WSC “Sentosa” Aleksei Martynov. However, it’s not internal competitions. We have made the Championship open. We are very pleased that couches and sportsmen from various countries responded to our invitation.
Dnipropetrovsk Open officially finishes water-ski season. Now sportsmen will be training at the winter lounge of the club – the swimming pool of Dnipropetrovsk National University.
